Life of Tranquility in the Sinai Desert
The Sinai mountain desert is an Egyptian stone garden where you are swept away by the colors, shapes and primordial silence of the world around. There is no vegetation and no visible animals. The profound silence makes us recognize how much we need tranquility. The body, mind and soul begin to heal when there is an absence of action inside and outside. The feelings of joy and peace begin to enter the being.
In the vast silence and solitude of the Sinai deserts, meeting with people is always an unusual and noteworthy event. Living in close proximity to a Bedouin family it became obvious how valuable it is to be in an environment with people who enjoy the purity of every gathering. The Bedouins are known for their remarkable hospitality and respect to visitors They showed their kindness by serving very hot, sweet mint and sage tea prepared on an open fire outside of the family tent.
