Cupping Therapy Cupping is an ancient form of therapy commonly used for a wide variety of complaints.

What is a cup?

A cupping jar, or cup, is a small bottle with a smooth and rounded mouth used to create a partial vacuum over the skin. This causes the blood to circulate and pulls it towards the surface of the body. Cups come in an assortment of sizes and materials. The ones most commonly used are made of glass.

Benefits of Cupping therapy

Cupping therapy is extremely effective in achieving fast and long lasting results in many conditions, especially those related to pain management. The primary aspect of cupping therapy is to move blood and chi and to remove stagnation of any kind from the body. According to Chinese Medicine, pain is caused by motionless blood and chi in the muscles. By improving blood circulation to the muscles using cupping techniques, the result is pain relief.
